Happy New Year Everyone

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, mine was quite a sober one this year as i was taking part in the MWR on 27th and didn't fancy taking on Leg 1 with a hang over!!!!

I really enjoyed the MWR despite having to do leg 4 instead of leg 1 due to snow on the mountain road. Well done to the Organisers and Marshalls who had to reorganise things and themselves to make sure the event still went ahead.

I had a good run and was pretty pleased with my 35.43 time, a whacking 4.1/2 minutes faster than my previous best, although i did get lost last time and was no where near as fit!!

It is only 10 days to go to the Lancs Champs, i am really looking forward to it, but just hope its not frozen like last year, anything but that please!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone enjoys their New Year Celebrations. My Wife and i are taking it in turns to go to a Party as our son is not a well boy at all with a horrible vomiting bug, poor little man,

Here is to a Happy and Healthy New Year to you all.

Catch up Time!!!!!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post, things have been a bit hectic to say the least since my weekend away at the start of the month.
I had a lovely time away doing some christmas shopping and visiting my sister and family.

I didn't get much running done away but i felt much better for having the break, the legs were starting to feel a bit weary!!!

I missed the last round of the Cross Country at Crossags, but it sounds like it was another cracker, this time with Simon Skillicorn and Martin Malone having a ding dong battle for the win.
Simon just edged it, but it will be an interesting battle between the two of them in the Manx Champs next month!

Kevin Loundes was missing from Crossags as he was away the following week in Liverpool taking part in the Liverpool and District Cross Country Union Race and had a fantastic 3rd place finish.
He is still improving and i think there is still more to come, hopefully he will have a good race in the Lancs next month.

So what have i been upto since the start of the month?
On my return on the 7th i went straight back into some easy running for a couple of days and back to training proper on the 9th and felt pretty godd after my break.

Training has gone pretty well and i am looking forward to the MWR on the 27th. I went over the leg 1 route last sunday afternoon and it was very wet underfoot, but i think that may change if this cold weather holds, it may be very hard and crunchy instead.

The one thing i am hoping i don't get for Christmas is a cold, i think 5 of the last 6 years i have had a cold at this time or always gone to the Lancs Champs recovering from one.

I am in the best form i feel ever going into a Lancs Chanps so am hopefull i can have a good race and help the team do well, keep your fingers crossed that its not frozen like last year!!!

Before i go i would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and a Healthy Injury Free New Year.

Thats all folks!!!!!
